Spring cleaning checklist

It was spring for about 2 hours, then another 6 inches of snow fell, but it still lit a spring cleaning purge fire right in front of me, so let’s dive in!

Spring is a great time of the year to freshen up your home and get rid of all the clutter that has accumulated during the winter months. It’s also a perfect time to start preparing your home for sale or just to make your living space more comfortable. Here is a spring cleaning checklist that you can use as a guide to make sure you don't miss anything.

There are some general cleaning tasks you should complete in every room of your house.

What to clean in every room 

  • Wipe down baseboards, doors, and walls

  • Mop and wash floors

  • Wash windows and screens

  • Vacuum and wash vents

  • Clean light fixtures

Room-by-room

KITCHEN

  • Dust refrigerator coils

  • Defrost the freezer

  • Clean out pantry check for any expired items

  • Deep clean oven

  • Deep clean inside refrigerator

  • Clean cabinets

  • Clean small appliances

BATHROOM

  • Discard expired cosmetics and beauty products

  • Update first-aid kit
